Like many area schools that have been hit hard by influenza and other illness, the Washington Court House City Schools are cancelling classes Thursday and Friday.
According to a school press release:
After careful consideration of the administrative team across the district and the Fayette County Public Health Department, Washington Court House City Schools will be CLOSED and all activities suspended until Monday, February 3rd, 2020.
This decision was not made lightly, and the custodial and maintenance staff will be working diligently the district throughout the coming days to prepare to reopen next week.
Parents are encouraged to disinfect their students' book bags and anything that comes to and from school with them, as well as make sure they are washing their hands and being diligent in their health practices at home.
