Sharon K. Bell, 72 years of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018. Sharon was born April 23, 1945 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Donald and Olive Pearl (Rhoades) Walker.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Bell; a granddaughter, Tory Bell; three sisters, Judy Maxwell, June Shelton and Joyce Brodess.
Sharon retired in 2014 from the Hillsboro Police Department after 30 years of service.
Sharon is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Donna Bell of Hillsboro; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Frank Kanyuck of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren, Ashton (Rocky) Mischal, Garrett Bell, Kaylynn Bell, Payton Bell, MacKenzie Hartley, Megan (John) McDuffee, Brooke Kanyuck, Alex Kanyuck; four great grandchildren, Walker Mischal, Moore Mischal, Bell Mischal, Logan McDuffee; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Marshall Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
