William E. "Bill" Caplinger, age 69, of Wilmington, OH, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH.
He was born February 4, 1948 in Wilmington, OH, son of the late Virgil Thomas Caplinger and Doris Jean Doughman Caplinger.
Bill retired from GM-Delphi after 30+ years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming.
Surviving is his wife, Joyce Caplinger of Wilmington, whom he married June 29, 1985, one brother, Lewis E. (Jan) Caplinger of Windsor, CO, son, Bill (Ann) Caplinger, Jr. of Olive Hill, KY, daughter, Virginia Caplinger of Martinsville, step-daughter, Mary A. (Steve) Schmid of Wilmington, step-son, David (Regina Willis) Lindsey of Clarksville, four grandchildren, Josh, Nicholas, Kelsi, Nathan, and two great-grandchildren, Emma and Emsley.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his beloved dog Katie who passed in August of this year.
Services will be held at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Monday, November 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Springfield Friends Cemetery.
