Mary Louise Bush

Mary Louise Bush of Wilmington passed away on November 24, 2017, after a courageous battle with lymphoma. She was 89.  She was born on July 21, 1928, in the Clinton County community of Pansy to the late Fred and Dovie (Clark) Statler. She attended Miami University before marrying Charles Bush, on November 4, 1950, at the Clarksville United Methodist Church.  Mary Lou and Charlie recently celebrated their 67th anniversary. They enjoyed many years of traveling and many years of happiness.

Mary Lou gave many hours of service to the Wilmington United Methodist Church as a Sunday School teacher and as a member of both the vocal and handbell choirs.  She also volunteered with Meals on Meals and served as a 4-H leader.  She was a charter member of the Clinton County Genealogical Society, holding several offices and donating countless hours in the library. She will always be remembered by her kindness and concern for others.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Sandi (Jim) Clawson of Jeffersonville, Ohio, Susan (Denny) Neuhart of Wilmington, Ohio, and Sharon Eberle of Dublin, Ohio, and her brother Charles Statler of Wilmington.  She is leaving six grandchildren: Jackie (Shawn) Robinson of Montana, Dr. James Clawson of Louisiana, Jomi (Shaun) Goodbar of Wilmington, Justin (Amanda) Neuhart of Lexington, Kentucky, Nate Eberle and Kristen Eberle of Plain City, Ohio.  She also leaves two great-grandsons Colby Goodbar and Silas Neuhart along with three nieces and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Wilmington United Methodist Church, 50 E. Locust St., Wilmington, Ohio.  Friends may call from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Wilmington United Methodist Church.  A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
