Agnes Cummings

AGNES CUMMINGS, age 92, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 6:12 p.m. at Court House Manor surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on December 11, 1924 in Hammond, Indiana to Martin and Lula Riley Cooper. Agnes owned and operated Cummings Ceramics out of her home for many years. She was a faithful member at the Heritage Memorial Church and the Good Will Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading her Bible, collecting dolls, doing arts and crafts, gardening, following the Cincinnati Reds, and being with her family and grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph “Luke” Cummings, whom she married on April 1, 1942; her infant son; siblings, Byron Cooper, Gladys (Adrian) Clark, Carl (Pauline) Cooper, Juanita Cunningham, and Huey Cooper; and her son-in-law, Jim Yankie.

Survivors include her children, Tim (Christine) Cummings, and Andrea Yankie; grandchildren, Marty (Jodene) Cummings, Troy (Jennifer) Cummings, and Amber (Brian) Stults; great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Cole Cummings, and Luke and Avery Stults; sister, Iona Kelleher; and her special niece, Debbie Marshall.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Duvall and Rev. Bob Carroll officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
