Shirley Jane Sayler, 89, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at her residence. Her husband, Carl E. Sayler, preceded her in death February 7, 2016. They were married June 18, 1949. Mrs. Sayler was born June 9, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Byron and Ruth Jenks Rainger. She was a graduate of Shaw High School in Cleveland. Over the years, Mrs. Sayler had been active with Lakeview High School athletic club and band boosters. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and gardening.
Mrs. Sayler is survived by a son, Carl (Bonnie) Sayler of Detroit, Michigan; three daughters, Linda (Bob) Rappach of Wilmington, Ohio, Bonnie Solars of North Olmstead, Ohio, and Susan Sayler of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a brother, Charles (Carolyn) Rainger of Huron, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 6:30 PM, Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South St., Wilmington, Ohio.
