John Allen Conger,age 69, of Clarksville, Ohio, passed away suddenly, Tuesday evening, September 19, 2017 at home.
He was born in Wilmington, Ohio, son of the late Ira & Phyllis (Ross) Conger. He married Debra Ross Conger, who preceded him in death in 1994. John had worked for L & M Farms in Pleasant Plain, Ohio. A Wilmington High School Graduate, he was a US Army Vietnam War Era Veteran.
Surviving are his son- Trent Allen Conger of Clarksville; grandchildren- Elizabeth Conger, Hunter Conger, Jordan Clefford, Angela Hungler; sisters- Ellen Brandenburg of Hillsboro, Ohio, Clara Mae Halls of FL, & Rosie Halls of Ironton, Ohio; brothers- Bobbie Halls of West Union, OH, & Charlie Halls of WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents and wife, John was preceded in death by his granddaughter- Danielle Hungler; sister- Linda Conger and brother- Charlie Conger.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington. The Wilmington American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will accord full military honors. Interment will be held at the family's convenience at the Clinton County Memory Gardens, Wilmington.
