Lawrence "Dick" Shinkle

Lawrence “Dick” Shinkle, 79 of Bainbridge, passed away on September 19, 2017, at his residence. He was born in South Vienna on September 3, 1938 to the late Joseph and Jeanette Buzzard Shinkle. Dick leaves behind his wife Kay Klever Shinkle. Dick was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Era and was in the 82nd and 101st Airborne division. He was a past member of the Sedalia Lions Club, Enjoyed Pigeon racing and was a founder of Holly Hills Preserve.  

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Joe and Rodney Shinkle and three sisters Shirley Cornell, Phillis Reynolds and Patty Harman

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Kathy (Steve) Mullins of Chillicothe and Lynn (Gary) Dill of Midway; seven grandchildren Matt, Renea and Chris, Erik and Chelsea, Bub, Sara, Kaylin, Jonathon and three great grandchildren Hayden, Mason and Colin; Special friends Dean (Marsha) Hatfield, Matt, Holley, Memphis and Anzli.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 23, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Morrow Funeral Home, Jeffersonville with Pastor Mike Hodge officiating. Burial will be in the Whiteman Cemetery, Jeffersonville. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7PM
