John Alvin Proffitt, Sr., 70 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Monday September 4, 2017. He was born in Kenton County, KY on October 21, 1946, the son of the late John and Goldie Mae (Thompson) Proffitt. Besides his parents he was also preceded by his grandson, Jordan Proffitt and two sisters, Sheila Hall and Brenda Chandler.
John served in the United States Navy, enjoyed the open air on his motorcycle and was a member of the New Comer MC.
John is survived by his son, John Proffitt, Jr., five, daughters, Melady Proffitt-Hatter, Kim Jo Proffitt, Cassandra Proffitt-Brizzi, Carol Proffitt and Angie Proffitt, two brothers, Larry and Wayne Proffitt, two sisters, Gail Proffitt-Brunst and Tina Proffitt-Summer, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.
On behalf of John’s wishes, he was cremated.
