WCH Homecoming Weekend

On Friday, the festivities will officially at 6:30 PM, as the Blue Lion Marching Band takes the field for the pregame ceremonies. After honoring our great nation and our alumni with the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner and the WHS Alma Mater, the 2017 Homecoming Court will be introduced, and the King and Queen will be crowned.At 7:00 PM, Blue Lion Football will begin with a kickoff against former league rival, the London Red Raiders.At halftime, the BLMB will be joined by the 28th Annual Alumni Band to perform once again in Gardner Park.After rocking to some old classics and performing the traditional "Script Lions," the Blue Lions will roar back onto the field to finish the game.Win or lose, the players, cheerleaders, and Court House Crazies (WHS student section), ask the WHS Alumni to join them and the band in singing the WHS Alma Mater at the conclusion of the game.As the players are hopefully ringing the Victory Bell, the BLMB and Alumni Band will once again take the field to put on their Postgame show.

The Homecoming festivities will wrap up Saturday evening as the students enjoy their annual Homecoming dance, “Heroes for a Night.” 

The dance will take place in the Athletic Center at Washington High School from 8:00 to 11:00 PM.  Tickets are $8.00 each, and must be purchased prior to the dance.
