Isaac Merrick "Rick" Pease III

Isaac Merrick “Rick” Pease III, 73, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away 12:05 PM, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at The Laurels of Blanchester.  His wife, Doris Kistner Pease, survives.  They were married August 28, 1971.  He was born February 5, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Isaac Merrick Pease Jr. and Jane Howard Pease. 

Mr. Pease served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.  He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and the Navy Commendation Medal with a “V” for valor.  He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church and the Disabled American Veterans.  He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pease is survived by three sons, Robert “Keith” Pease of Wilmington, Ohio, Kevin (Laura) Pease of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Chris (Cara) Pease of Milford, Ohio; a sister, Sarah (Bruce) Gilbert-Smith of Crossville, Tennessee; and two grandchildren, Emmet Pease and Lila Pease.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Rev. Michael J. Holloran.  Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, Ohio with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy.  Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Friday, September 8, 2017 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry Street, Wilmington, OH 45177 or the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
