Rev. Dryden Dean "Dino" Martin

REV. DRYDEN DEAN “DINO” MARTIN, age 72, of Washington CH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 2:01 p.m. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

He was born on August 22, 1945 in Fayette County to Vivian Irene Gool. He retired from Steelox in 2002 after thirty-four years of service and then retired from New Sabina Industries in 2008. Dryden was a member at the Spirit of Truth Church in Washington CH. He enjoyed gardening and yard work with his wife, sharing God’s love, reading his Bible, and being with his family and grandchildren.

Dryden was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Shelby Martin; daughter, Amber Haines; and grandson, Westley Leach.

Survivors include his wife, Carmel Lynn Leach Martin, whom he married on July 18, 1997; children, Angie (Kevin) Gangloff, Dryden (Robin) Martin, Sally (Devin Dixon) Gilmore, Danny Martin, Michele (Carl) Sandlin, Jamie (Amy) Culwell, and Jason (Megan) Culwell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; nephew, Bobby “Dink” Martin; his loving canine companions, Maddi and Tucker; and also his beloved feline companion, Calli.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastors Don Young and Matt Anders officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4-8:00 p.m.
