District 9 Travel Report

CLINTON COUNTY: 

7/11/18 Prairie Road is closed between Lowe's Drive and Starbuck Road for a culvert replacement. The road will be closed for two weeks.

Hadley Road is closed for an emergency culvert replacement between Doster Rd. and Lebanon Rd. There is currently no estimated date for the roadway to re-open.

FAYETTE COUNTY:


7/9/18 SR 41 between Wildwood Rd. and Bloomingburg New-Holland Rd.

  • 7 AM TODAY: SR 41 will be closed for culvert replacement. DETOUR: SR 41 to US 62 to SR 38 to I-71 to SR 41 and reverse.
  • 3:30 PM SATURDAY 7/21/18: All lanes open.

6/25/18 US 35 between SR 435 and SR 753

  • 7 AM TODAY: US 35 will be reduced to one lane in both directions for paving. Lanes will reopen each night.
  • 7 PM SUNDAY 9/30/18: All lanes open.

6/18/18 Bloomingburg New Holland Rd. will be closed for 30 days from St. Rt. 41 to Prairie Rd. for road construction


HIGHLAND COUNTY:

6/27/18 Harry Sauner Road will be one-way only during daytime construction from Bell Gardens east to High Street (US 62) on June 27, 28, and 29.  There is no access to Harry Sauner Road from High Street during this time.  Two-way traffic resumes each evening.  Two-way traffic is maintained from SR 73 to Bell Gardens during this time.

Construction is under way for a minor widening project that includes the installation of new curbs, sidewalks, drainage and other features between the route's junction with U.S. Route 62 (North High Street) and Roberts Lane, and throughout construction, traffic is being maintained by flaggers when crews are at work.

However, as work progresses for curb installation within the project zone, contractors will close Harry Sauner in the westbound direction between North High Street and Roberts Lane during daytime, working hours.

The closure will be in effect on Friday, June 29, as well as Monday and Tuesday, July 1st and 2nd, during daytime, working hours. One lane of traffic will be maintained in the eastbound direction toward U.S. 62/North High Street during these times as well, and the route will be open to two-way traffic during the evening and overnight hours.

7/11/18 Sinking Spring Rd. is closed today between Harriett & Elmville for ditching.

THURSDAY, JULY 5: S.R. 138 will be closed between T.R. 360B (McWilliams Road) and S.R. 753, approximately one mile west of Greenfield, for a bridge replacement project. The closure is scheduled to be in effect for up to 30 days, and while the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via S.R. 28 and S.R. 771; a local detour will also be established. All work associated with the project is scheduled to be completed in late summer. (#18-0321)

MONDAY, JULY 9: S.R. 134 will be closed between T.R. 119B (Kier Road) and T.R. 120 (Crampton Road), just south of Lynchburg, for the second phase of a bridge and culvert replacement project. Throughout construction, traffic will be detoured via U.S. 50 at Dodsonville and S.R. 135 at Allensburg, and the entire project is anticipated to be completed in early fall. (#18-0060)

THRU JULY 13: As part of a minor widening project on C.R. 1159 (Harry Sauner Road), Harry Sauner Road will be subject to one-way traffic, whereby the street will be closed in the westbound direction between North High Street and Roberts Lane during daytime, working hours. One lane of traffic will be maintained in the eastbound direction toward U.S. 62/North High Street during these times as well, and the route will be open to two-way traffic during the evening and overnight hours. Motorists may encounter temporary periods of delay when crews are at work. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall. (#18-0168)

S.R. 73 has been reopened to traffic at its intersection with C.R. 5 (Prospect Road), where it has been closed as part of a realignment/widening project on Prospect Road. Although the route is open, it will be subject to intermittent lane restrictions; however, traffic will be maintained by flaggers. In addition, restrictions and closures on Prospect Road and T.R. (Ballentine Road) remain in effect, and traffic is being detoured locally. The completion date for the entire project is summer of 2019. (#17-0553)

S.R. 73 is reduced to one, 10-foot lane between T.R. 277A (Diven Road) and T.R. 276B (W. Welcome Road) for a bridge replacement project. The project site is located approximately one mile west of Hillsboro, and throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with temporary signals. All work is anticipated to be completed in late summer. A bridge replacement project is under way on U.S. 50 between T.R. 122A (Spickard Road) and C.R. 6 (Danville Road), near the community of Fairview. Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained in one, 10-foot lane with temporary signals, and the project is anticipated to be completed in early fall. (#18-0138)

As part of a districtwide bridge maintenance project, restrictions will be in effect on U.S. 62 at the bridge located immediately north of the route's intersection with S.R. 28 and at the structure located north of C.R. 38 (Sabina Road) and Leesburg for crews to repair expansion joints. Traffic will be maintained in one lane by flaggers, temporary signals and/or arrow boards when crews are at work. (#18-0157)
