Jon "Joe" Duane Cole

Jon "Joe" Duane Cole, 81 of Hillsboro passed away at his residence in Hillsboro on Monday, June 5, 2017.

Joe is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Arlene (Rockhold) Cole whom he married on January 22, 1961; two sons, Jon William (Anita) Cole of Carmel, Indiana and Maurice Leon Cole of Cleveland; nine grandchildren, Rodney (Jaymara) Captain of Hillsboro, Erica Captain of Hillsboro, Jonathon O'Dee of Cleveland, Jordan Cole of Noblesville, Indiana, Rheilly Cole of Kalamazoo, MI, Halle Cole of Carmel, IN, Brock Hallett of Las Vegas, Chase Hallett of Texas and Bailey Hallett of Carmel, IN; seven great grandchildren, Chauncey Captain, Quintin Captain, Kingston Captain, Saivion Seals, Nylah Miles, Elizabeth O'Dee and Semaje Seals; brother, Larry V. Cole of Hillsboro; and two very special friends, Leroy Kittrell of Columbus and Terry Moore of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 10 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene, immediately followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m.

Burial: with military honors, presented by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow at the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in Joe's name to the Wayman's Chapel AME Church, 144 W. Pleasant Street, Hillsboro, Oh 45133.
