Shane Michael Cooper

SHANE MICHAEL COOPER, age 29, of Washington CH, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 4:34 p.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on January 10, 1988 in Fayette County to Michael R. and April “Shell” Smith Cooper. Shane was a 2006 graduate of Washington Senior High School. He had always dreamed of one day opening his own tattoo shop. He enjoyed drawing, reading, and listening to his favorite group, Radiohead.

Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bruce and Ethel Smith, and his grandfather and friend, Norman “Pappy” Cooper.

Survivors include his parents; brother, Jeffrey S. (Jessyka) Cooper; grandmother, Carolyn Cooper; aunts and uncles, Angie “Diddy” Smith, Sheila Smith, Curtis Smith, Roger (Pam) Cooper, David Cooper, Sherry Rhoads, and Jeff (Leighanne) Cooper; and also his special friend and longtime supporter, Kylie Blair, “may the bond we shared live on forever.” Also surviving are many cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Wolfe officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
