Joseph G. Mallow

 Joseph G. Mallow, 81, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 10:55 a.m. at his home.  He had been in failing health.

    Joe was born March 2, 1936, in Ross County, Ohio to John Ray and Laura Helen DeWees Mallow.  He attended Frankfort High School and moved to Fayette County in 1967.

    He retired from Ferno Washington in Wilmington and had formerly farmed.

Joe was a member of St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church.

    He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Mallow on June 13, 2013, and four sisters, Eleanor Mallow, Ida Callender, Erma Stevens and Jane Ann Kennedy.

    Joe is survived by his wife, the former Carolyn Jeanne Wilhelm whom he married September 22, 1962; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tamika Mallow and a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Mike Mills all of Washington Court House; seven grandchildren, Kurtis and Kyle Mallow, Kristen (Adam) Carrington, Gerritt and Tayla Mallow, Melissa Mills and Ashley (Chapman) Fluent; a great grandson, Cael Fluent; a brother and sister-in-law, John Thomas and D.J. Mallow of Clarksburg; a sister, Martha Smith of Jeffersonville and a brother-in-law, Jack Kennedy of Pawpaw, WV.

    The funeral will be Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Michael Hartge, parochial vicar administrator at the church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Colman Catholic Cemetery.

    Friends may call at the church Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of the service.

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
