Harry Thomas "Tommy" Armstrong Jr.

HARRY THOMAS “TOMMY” ARMSTRONG JR., age 48, of Washington CH, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at his home.

He was born on April 17, 1969 in Fayette County to Harry T. “Tom” and Iva Belle Armstrong. He was known for his strong personality but also for his heart of gold. He was an active member in the AA program and enjoyed participating in meetings and other special events they held. He was currently employed by Lithko Contracting in Columbus. Tommy enjoyed fishing, camping, playing pool, working on cars, and being with his friends and family. Tommy was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Tommy was preceded in death by his mother; his sister, Sherri Lynn Stubbs; and his Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell.

Survivors include his father, Tom (Jeanie) Armstrong; his children, Tyler (Nattalie) Phillips, Sierra (Michael) Smith, and Harry T. Armstrong III; step-children, Zach Tackett, and Trevor and Trenton Woods; grandchildren, Emilie Mossbarger, Alexis, Brennin, and Brysin Smith, and Jadin and Brayden Armstrong; siblings, Jimmy (Tresa) Stubbs, Leroy (Debbie) Stubbs, Tina (Mike) Stroud, Harriett (Rusty) Penwell, and Hayden Penwell; and special friends, BJ and Missy Sword. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
