Daniel T. Hiser

Daniel T. Hiser, 25, of Milledgeville, Ohio died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 1:42 a.m. shortly after arrival at Kettering Memorial Hospital after a single vehicle crash earlier in the evening on State Route 729 in Fayette County.

Daniel was born September 6, 1991, in Wilmington, Ohio to Mark Steven and Linda Kay Miller Hiser.  He was a 2010 graduate of Miami Trace High School where he was a member of FFA and lettered in basketball and football. He was to receive his bachelor’s degree from Wright State University this spring.  He was a lifelong resident of the Milledgeville community.

He was a member of the Spring Grove United Methodist Church; had been a member of the Pig Dudes 4-H Club; the 4-H Tractor Club; Junior Fair Board; Junior Leadership and had served as a camp counselor.  He had also been a lifeguard at the Jeffersonville pool.

Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Bessie Hiser and maternal grandmother, Sue Miller.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Linda Hiser; two brothers, Ryan and Charlie Hiser all of Milledgeville; his maternal grandfather, Rodney D. Miller of Washington Court House; aunts and uncles, Curtis T. Hiser, of Dublin, OH, Deborah Rhude of Hillsboro, John and Pam Hiser of Jamestown, Ohio,  David and Kimberly Hiser of Marysville; Doug and Linda Miller of Washington Court House, Karen and Brent Edmonson of Frankfort, David Miller and Dean and Sharon Miller, all of Washington Court House; cousins, Ashley and Jordan Rhude, Lindsey Rhude and her daughter, Brooklyn, Hallie, Matthew, Cole and Katie Hiser, Nic and Erika Miller, Nathan and Grace Miller, Mathew and Kristen Edmonson, Whitney and Josh Cummins, Cassie Miller and Michael Miller.

As a tissue donor, Daniel gave the gift of life to others.

The funeral will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Payton, pastor at the Spring Grove United Methodist Church, and Mike Henry, minister at the Sugar Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Monday from 3-8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund in Daniel’s name at Miami Trace High School, 3836 State Route 41-NW.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
