Doris B. Tillinghast,
age 83, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Thursday morning, April 6, 2017 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born January 12, 1934 in Hillsboro, Ohio, daughter of the late Alonzo Taylor & Dorothy Leola (McKee) Upton. She married Bruce M. Tillinghast, who passed away March 9, 2011.
She was a member of Cowan Creek Sportsmen Assoc. and had retired as an insurance adjuster with Motorist Mutual Insurance after 35 years of service.
Surviving are her step-children- Mark Tillinghast of Atlanta, GA, Joel Tillinghast of Batavia, OH, David Tillinghast of Cincinnati, OH, Andrew (Jane) Tillinghast of CA, William Tillinghast of Cincinnati, OH, Caroline (Mohamed) Khalaf of Cincinnati, OH; step-grandchildren- Amber, Roxanne, & Benjamin: several step-great-grandchildren; sister- Nadiine (Tony) Reno of Hillsboro, OH; brother-Alonzo (Mary) Upton, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her son- Greg N. King and step-son- William Tillinghast.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held 10 AM, Monday, April 10 at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Truesdell Street, Wilmington with Pastor McCormick officiating.
The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
