Buddy Lewis, 85, of West Union, passed away on Wednesday,
March 22, 2017 at his home. He was born March 16, 1932 in Stout in
Adams County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and
Flossie (Hodge) Lewis, brothers, John Paul and and Calvin Lewis, and
sisters, Inez Brewer, Katherine Lewis, and Imogene Gaines.
Buddy is survived by his wife, Sandra (Setty) Lewis of West Union;
five children: Danny Howard and Russell Lewis, both of West Union,
Victor Lewis of Peebles, Randy Lewis and wife Brenda of West Union,
and Shirley Leake of Georgia; special granddaughter, Krista Bentley of
West Union; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Judy
Conley of Tennessee and Georgia Gilmore of Blacksburg, Virginia;
brother, Tom Lewis and wife Kathleen of Lynx, and several nieces and
nephews.
Buddy retired from W.L. Harper Construction Company after 32 years
of employment. He was a member of Laborers International Union Local #265
in Cincinnati. He was a member of the FOE Aerie #2232 in Manchester.
The visitation is Monday, March 27, 2017 from 11 am until 12 pm at
Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union. The funeral service is at 12 pm with
Pastor Vernon Shively officiating. Burial will be at the Sunshine Ridge Cemetery
in Green Township in Adams County.
