John Park Sininger

John Park Sininger, 93, of Bentonville, Ohio passed away on Monday,

March 20, 2017 at the Meadowview Regional Hospital in Maysville, Kentucky. 

He was born May 6, 1923 in Sprigg Township in Adams County.  He was preceded

in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruth (Wilson) Sininger, wife, Elsie (Nixon) Sininger, infant son, Robert Dale Sininger, and brothers, Robert, Harry, Tom and

Jim Sininger.

          He is survived by two children:  Richard (Rick) Sininger and wife Belinda

of Bentonville, and Rita Jane Sininger of Georgetown; three grandchildren:  John R.

Sininger of Bentonville, Jason Sininger of Orlando, Florida, and Jeff Sininger

and wife Ruschele of Wheelersburg; three great grandchildren:  Sarah, Shelby,

and Sawyer Park Sininger all of Wheelersburg; two sisters:  Eleanor Ernst and

husband Charles (Bud) of Georgetown, and Miriam Swearingen and husband

Dale of Medina; four brothers:  Chester and William Sininger, both of West Union,

Ralph Sininger and wife Jane of Georgetown, and Harold Sininger and wife Betty

of Georgetown;  sister-in-law, Eleanor Sininger of Georgetown; honorary grandson, Jamie Swearingen, his wife Yveta and their children, McKena, Landon and Travis

of Georgetown; several nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.

          He was a US Army Air Corp Veteran serving in WWII.  He was a member of

the Manchester Lodge #317 F&AM and was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cincinnati.  He was a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the Richard L. Dryden VFW Post #8287 in

Manchester. He was a member of the Bentonville Anti-Horse Thief Society, and a member of the Adams County Democrat Club.  He attended the Bentonville Church of Christ in Christian Union.  He was a Standard Oil distributor for 27 years.  He retired from the Adams County Highway Department in 1985.

          In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bentonville Church of Christ in  Christian Union, P.O. Box 244, Bentonville, Ohio 45105.

          The visitation is Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5 until 8 pm at Lafferty Funeral

Home in West Union with Masonic Services at 8 pm.  The funeral service is Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11 am with Pastor James Lanham officiating.  Burial will be at the West Union Cemetery in West Union.  The Adams County Honor Guard will conduct a military service.
