Ralph Edwin Doak

Ralph Edwin Doak, 68, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Friday, March 17, 2017.  His wife, Becky Bowermaster Doak, survives.  They were married January 12, 1974.  Mr. Doak was born November 23, 1948 in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late Robert and Margaret Gibson Doak.  He was a 1966 graduate of Wilmington High School.

Mr. Doak served as a field representative for the United Duroc Swine Registry and the National Swine Registry.  He dedicated the majority of his life to bettering the purebred swine industry and the people in it.  He was also a longtime Clinton County farmer and raised purebred swine.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Doak is survived by two daughters, Rachel (David) Swartz of Bishop, Georgia and Amy Doak of Wilmington, Ohio; two nephews, Rex Doak and Matt Deck; a niece, Rhonda Curtis; and four grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, a brother, Wilber Doak, a sister, Miriam Deck, a brother-in-law, David Deck, and a nephew, Michael Deck, are preceded in death.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.  A public celebration of Mr. Doak’s life will be announced at a later date.
