Gerald “Jerry” Leroy Huffman, 85, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away 7:50 PM, Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Continental Manor Nursing Home. Jerry was born July 24, 1931 in New Vienna, Ohio, son of Wilbur and Miriam Custis Huffman. He was a 1951 graduate of New Vienna High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had been a member of the New Vienna Church of Christ.
Jerry is survived by his stepsister, Cindy (Paul) Shivers of Wilmington; and his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, four brothers, Orville Huffman, Bob Huffman, Leland Huffman, and Charles Huffman, and a sister, Wanda Lee Huffman, are preceded in death.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will be in New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 49 Memorial Squad. Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
