Joseph Emrich

Joseph Emrich 90, of Jeffersonville, passed away on February 12, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Byhalia, Ohio to the late Jacob and Ida Long Emrich.  Joseph retired as a bus driver for Madison-Plains Schools, was a farmer and a truck driver for Wilson Freight; he served our country during WWII with the United State Army and was a member with the Midway Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife Martha Vallery Emrich and parents he is preceded in death by his brothers Arthur Emrich and Henry Emrich, sisters Helen Hite, Cleo Kirst, Ola Dahlgren and Julia Ashbaugh.

Joseph is survived by his sons Ernest Emrich of Washington D.C., Richard (Lennie) Emrich of Frankfort, daughters Kay (Jim) Downing of Jeffersonville, Valerie Emrich of Washington C.H., Carla (Dusty) Camp of Washington C.H., grandchildren Amy (Frank) Justice, Sarah (Eric) Smallwood, Emily Spahr, Alex Spahr, Jessica Camp, great-grandchildren Kaytlyn Justice, Kole Justice, Annabel Smallwood, Samuel Smallwood and his wife’s seven siblings and their families, several nieces and nephews, and his four legged companion Dolly.

Funeral services will be held on Monday February 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Morrow Funeral Home, Jeffersonville with Pastor Steve Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in the Paint Twp. Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-7PM
