Richard David Rittenhouse

RICHARD DAVID “DAY DAY” RITTENHOUSE, age 49, of Washington CH, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Fayette County Memorial Hospital.

   He was born on February 15, 1967 in Springfield, Ohio to William David and Ruth Ann Patton Rittenhouse.  He was a loving brother that enjoyed singing, dancing, listening to country music, going fishing, and working on cars with his brothers.  Day Day also enjoyed cooking, making grandma Glady’s famous noodles that she taught all of us to make.  He loved being with his family and friends.

   Day Day was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother, Steven Dewayne Rittenhouse, and infant sister, Christine Irene Rittenhouse.

   Survivors include his wife, Sonya Rittenhouse, whom he married on February 14, 1994; daughter, Sara Ann Rittenhouse; siblings, Sharron (John D.) Munro, Mark (Alice) Rittenhouse, Randy (Debbie) Pierson and Marie (David) Thompson as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

   A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home.  A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2:00 until the time of the service.
