Kacey Musgraves debuted an unreleased ballad she wrote as a tribute to her dog when she took the stage at a newly-opened venue in Nashville, Tennessee.
Musgraves performed on Thursday evening (February 27) at the sold out opening night for The Pinnacle, a 4,500-capacity venue located within Nashville Yards downtown. Concertgoers shared clips of the Grammy-winning artist’s show, including an unreleased song, on TikTok on Friday (February 28). Musgraves sings about her beloved dog, an Australian cattle dog “so spicy” she’s named Pepper, who’s “black and white,” “ride or die,” and “more bark than bite.” The ballad is cleverly titled “She’s My B****.” The crowd laughed and cheered when Musgraves sang the title for the first time.
Throughout the night, Musgraves performed the latest songs from her Deeper Well era in addition to some fan-favorite throwbacks, all while surrounded by dreamy, earthy decor on stage. The Texas-born country star’s set list included “Giver/Taker,” “Too Good to be True,” “Nothing to be Scared Of,” “Jade Green,” “Cardinal,” “Deeper Well,” “Somebody to Love,” “The Architect,” “easier said,” “Fine,” “Slow Burn,” “Sway,” “Merry Go Round,” “Rainbow,” “High Horse” and more. The Pinnacle’s team posted photos from Musgraves’ performance on Friday and said: “We could have not asked for a better artist to grace our stage for our opening night.”
