Miranda Lambert set a new record, breaking the one previously held by fellow country hitmaker Reba McEntire.
Lambert, the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music History with nearly 40 awards, is up for Female Artist of the Year at the 58th annual ACM Awards next month. That marks her 17th nomination in the category, passing up McEntire’s previously-set 16 nominations, according to the Academy. That’s Lambert’s latest ACM record — and her five total nominations could set her up for more — following the rare Triple Crown Award she received at the ACM Honors in fall of 2022. Only seven other artists have received that award, which Lambert earned after winning ACM Top New Female Vocalist, ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, and ACM Entertainer of the Year throughout her career. She reached 37 ACM awards in her career when she won Entertainer of the Year at the 57th annual ACM Awards last year.
The “If I Was A Cowboy” superstar is among the top nominees at the 58th annual ACM Awards, along with HARDY, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Kane Brown and many others. Lambert is also up for Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year (Palomino), and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. See the full list of ACM Awards nominees here.
The 58th ACM Awards will take place at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. It’s set for Thursday, May 11 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT/5 p.m. PT.
