Ross County EMS Plan Committee Convenes

The Ross County EMS Plan Committee had its first big public meeting Tuesday afternoon. 17 officeholders and members of law enforcement, EMS, and more, gathered at the Ross County Service Center.

County Planner Devon Shoemaker coordinated the meeting to organize the group and review procedure, and said they might be spending up to two hours on that. With so many officials participating, he said it was a necessity that they were open to a public audience.

He hoped they might hire a consulting firm in May to study the EMS situation, but has said it will take 18 to 24 months to have a new system in place for probably a nine-minute consistent response time throughout Ross County.

The Advocacy Committee of the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce had unanimously voted to support the study.
