It's been more than three weeks and there's still no word on a twice-escaped Brown County Jail inmate.
40-year-old Hobert Roark escaped from the jail Tuesday evening of December 29th by exploiting a weakness in one the jail's security windows, according to Sheriff Gordon Ellis. The following day, a van believed to have been stolen by Roark was located along Mount Orab Pike.
Roark was being held on multiple charges including burglary, grand theft, receiving stolen property, failure to comply, and possession of firearms under disability.
It's the second time Roark managed to make his way out of the jail, with his last escape taking place in November of 2020. Last time he was located and placed back into custody in Portsmouth. As of now, he remains on the run.
