Big Second Half Lead Tigers To Victory

It was a second half explosion Friday night for the McClain Tigers as they out scored Washington Court House 41-14 to close out the game on their way to a 60-30 victory. 

The game was competitive through the first two quarters as the Blue Lions led by one point after the first quarter 8-7. In the second the Tigers started turning up the defensive pressure and took a three point lead into the half, out scoring Washington 12-8 to lead 19-16.

Then in the third McClain jumped out on a 9-2 run that turned into a 25-5 run to lead by twenty three after the quarter ended 44-21 and finished the game out scoring Washington 16-9 in the final quarter to take home the victory on Senior night for the Blue Lions. 

Washington ended the night shooting 12-30 for 40%, they were 6-12 for 50% behind the arc, and were just 1-2 from the free throw line. They committed 34 turnovers, 18 in the first half and 16 in the second. They were led in scoring by Tanner Lemaster’s 14 points.

Mcaclain shot 34% from the field on 22-64 shooting but pulled down 24 offensive rebounds. They shot just 19- from beyond the arc and 48% from the free throw line on 11-23 shooting. They committed 8 turnovers, all in the first half. They were led in scoring by Bryson Badgley’s 19 points, Kendyll Toney and Braden Wright each had 10.
