MT Panthers Football Playoff Run Comes To An End

The Miami Trace Panthers saw their season come to an end Friday night to the hands of very good London Raiders by a one-sides score of 41-7.

Coming in to the game Panther head coach Jerry Williams knew London would run the ball and it would be their job to stop them, a task that would be easier said then done. London rushes for 360 yards on the night, led by Antwaun Burns who had 215 yards on 15 carries and three touchdowns.

The game started with Trace fumbling their first play from scrimmage which led to Red Raider touchdown, the Trace would punt on the next possession which led to another London rushing touchdown. Then on Miami Trace’s third time handling the ball they would find the end zone for their only score of the night, a 61 yard touchdown pass from Melvin to Gilmore. That made the score 13-7 and from there it was all London. The Red Raiders would score 29 unanswered points to cruise to victory.

Miami Trace only managed two first downs and one of those was on a penalty. They had 103 total yards in the first half but could only manage 9 yards the entire second half for a total of 112. They end the season with a recorded of 4-4.

London finished the night rushing for 360 yards and 38 yards passing for a total of 398. They had two backs over 100 yards, Burns with 215 and Isaiah Jones had 111 yards on 11 carries.

London moves on to play Jonathan Alder next Friday, the only team to beat London this year.
