The City of Washington CH will be conducting Beggar's Night on Thursday, October 29th. City Manager Joe Denen says city council opened the door for the event at last night's meeting.
Denen recommended that those with "at-risk" health conditions might want to consider not handing out candy this year, to limit their exposure to COVID-19.
Washington Court House City Council also passed, a resolution accepting the designation of a "Purple Heart City" and declaring October 14th as "Purple Heart Day".
Council also authorized City Manager Joe Denen to enter into an agreement with ODOT for a guardrail replacement project on U.S. 753 and U.S. 22.
Denen also addressed council on the Temple Street Bridge project stating the columns have been set and the project should be completed by the end of October.
In anticipation of future public attendance, council's next meeting will be held in the basement of the city's fire department.
