The Washington CH City School District earned income tax levy has been officially approved.
The Fayette County Board of Elections on Monday morning, counted provisional and remaining outstanding absentee ballots, which saw the August 4th winning margin of three votes, grow to a final tally of 765 in favor and 754 against.
The 1% earned income tax will generate an additional $1.8 million per year to the general fund.
It’s the first general fund levy increase for Washington City Schools since 1991.
