Commercial development will be taking place sometime in the future on a couple parcels of land in Fayette County. That follows a decision by the Fayette County Commissioners to sell 1.13 acres of County-owned land along West Lancaster Road near Jeffersonville and 1.13 acres along Old US 35 to BSTP Midwest LLC.
It’s unclear what the company’s planned commercial projects are, but according to minutes from the most recent Fayette County Commissioners meeting the projects are expected to create new jobs and tax revenue.
In other business, the Fayette County Commissioners will begin to receive bids for the Danville Road Bridge Replacement on May 11th. The project, estimated to cost a little more than $563-thousand, is expected to begin in June with a wrap date by October 1st. Bids will be accepted starting at 11:00 a.m. on May 11th in the Commissioners’ Office.
