A man was trapped in his car after a crashing into a trailer on State Route 38 NE Friday morning.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says the crash in the 7000 block in Paint Township was reported to at 7:20 a.m.
44-year-old Kevin R. Wallace of Springfield was backing a 2014 Freightliner tractor-trailer into the driveway of a residence to make a delivery. 58-year-old Anthony E. Wood of Washington Court House was northbound on State Route 38 when his 2010 Chevrolet Silverado struck the trailer, entrapping him.
State Route 38 north of Danville Road was temporarily shut down as he was extricated by the Bloomingburg Paint-Marion Township Fire Department, Jefferson Township Fire Department, and the Sheriff’s Rescue Unit.
Wood was airlifted from the scene by Med-Flight to a Columbus Trauma Center for medical treatment. Wallace reported no injuries in the crash.
No charges have been filed as deputies continue their investigation.
