The Fayette County Commissioners have appointed a county Apiary Inspector for the upcoming new-year. Bill Huhman of Williamsport will fill that role during 2020. As the county Apiary, Mr. Huhman will be responsible for ensuring a healthy county beekeeping industry.

The Commissioners also recently received bids for the upcoming Robinson Road Sewer Project. The contract has been awarded to Donald W. May Contracting Inc. which is headquartered in Leesburg.

The Commissioners also approved contracts for the County Sheriff’s Office to provided law enforcement services in the villages of Octa, Bloomingburg and Milledgeville.

In other business from the Commissioners’ mid-December meeting, the Commissioners also an extension of the period of Due Diligence with BSTP Midwest LLC. for the sale of approximately 7.2 acres of real estate locate at 12356 Old US Highway 35. The new date is March 15th.
