A Missouri woman was experiencing discomfort in her ear and assumed she had a bad case of swimmer's ear. Then she saw her doctor.
Susie Torres' physician took a close look inside and didn't see any water to remove. He did, however, find a highly venomous brown recluse spider.
The doctor grabbed some small tools and carefully removed the spider, which somehow had not bitten her. Since then, Torres says she's been going to bed at night with cotton balls in her ears so spiders won't crawl in. (KSHB-TV)
