Several local businesses and organizations recently presented the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Foundation (FCMH) with donations totaling over $20,000 for the Partners in Pink program at the Women’s Wellness Center.
The businesses all offered a portion of their proceeds to the program for certain sales made in September. Proceeds go to the Partners in Pink program at the FCMH Women’s Wellness Center for breast cancer. Funds help pay for mammograms and ultrasounds for women in need. They also provide comfort services to breast cancer patients and survivors with relaxing massages from Serene Spaces and yoga or medication classes through Indigo Roots Studios.
“This is truly a patient centered program that encompasses the entire community. From the donors who support the businesses, to the local patients who benefit to the local establishments providing services to the patients,” said Whitney Gentry, Marketing Director for FCMH, “this is Fayette County coming together to support our neighbors in need.
Fayette County Memorial Hospital, the FCMH Foundation and Women’s Wellness Center are very grateful to all who had a part in the donations.”
