Washington High School cordially invites all Veterans and current service members to join the Blue Lions for a free hearty meal this Friday.
This holiday can be busy for veterans, so this event is an opportunity to relax and enjoy a quality meal at their leisure. Meal-goers should enter through the gymnasium doors at any time between 11:15 AM and 12:45 PM and take a seat at any available table.
The menu will consist of BBQ chicken breast and Salisbury steak, with corn, green beans, and scalloped potatoes as sides. A dinner roll with butter will accompany each meal, with water, lemonade, and tea being served to drink. The meal will feature cookies for dessert.
At 12:45 PM, WHS will host their annual Americanism assembly in Liberty Hall, and all are welcome to attend the short presentation.
WHS encourages all local Veterans and service members to start their Veterans Day weekend with the Blue Lions, as the students are excited for the opportunity to give back to those who have given so much to the nation.
