Carl Eugene Dingus, age 98, of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, died Tuesday, January 23, 2018 ay 1:40p.m. at the St. Catherine’s Nursing Home, in Washington Court House, Ohio.
He was born January 3, 1920 in Williamsport, Ohio and was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during WWII.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife Goldie Virginia Dingus, parents Goldie and Eugene Dingus and brothers Sant, Edward, Robert and Charles Dingus, children Steven, Peggy and Melvin Dingus.
Carl is survived by his children: Virginia (Larry) Williams, Jerry (Joyce) Dingus, Ted Dingus, Marianne (Ray) Gilbert, Sam Dingus, Nancy (Larry) Cline, Tim (Angie) Dingus, Judith Smoot and Carl (Kelli) Dingus; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; special family members: Roger Armentrout, Patty Gartin, Terri Brown, and Bonnie and Dave Shisler.
Family will receive friends FRIDAY 6:00-8:00p.m. at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, OH 43143 where his Funeral Service will be held at 11:00a.m. SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 2018. Burial will follow at Bailey’s Chapel Cemetery in Piketon, OH.
