Authorities say a home invasion in Madison County left two people dead, including one suspect.
London Police said two men broke into an apartment on Lamplight Court around 11:30 p.m. Monday. Once inside the apartment, police say gunfire was exchanged between the two suspects and residents. The gunfire continued outside the apartment
Police say the shootings left one resident dead and another injured. William Benson, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another resident, Zachary Edmond, 28, was transported to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. His injuries are not life-threatening, according to police.
One of the suspects was also killed in the gunfire. Police Identified that person as Justin G. Coffey, 24. The other suspect, who has yet to be identified, was shot and later located at a hospital in Springfield.
