Sharon M. Hunt, 78, of Wilmington, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at her residence. Her husband, Larry Hunt, survives. They were married June 18, 1976. Mrs. Hunt was born December 25, 1939 in Hazard, Kentucky, daughter of the late Vearl Vaughn and Ruth Bachelor Vaughn. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Dayton.
Mrs. Hunt retired from the Wilmington News Journal in 1988. She was a member of the Wilmington Church of Christ. She had been active with the Wilmington Senior Center where she taught the exercise classes. She enjoyed her yearly trips with family and friends to Michigan. She was the best mother and grandmother a family could ever ask for.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Donna (Michael) Mullins of Wilmington, Ohio; two brothers, Jim (Pat) Vaughn of Dayton, Ohio and Bill (Sue) Vaughn of Dayton, Ohio; three sisters, Carole Proffitt of Huber Heights, Ohio, Verla Vaughn of Xenia, Ohio, and Judy Phelps of Springboro, Ohio; two grandchildren, Kyle (Valerie) Williams and Kaitlyn (Charles Barker) Mullins; and a great-grandson, Porter Williams.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Keith Dimbath officiating. Burial will be in Clinton County Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home.
