Sandra Lou “Sandy” Beatty, 71, of Bloomingburg, Ohio died Friday, January 19, 2018, at 1:48 p.m. at her home while surrounded by her loving family.
Sandy was born September 7, 1946, in Greenfield, Ohio to Rillis and Dorothy Howland Cottrell. She lived most of her life in Greenfield before moving to Bloomingburg four years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene Beatty, Sr. on August 18, 2012; her parents; three brothers, Charles, Rillis, Jr. and Bobby Cottrell and an infant sister, Diane.
Sandy is survived by three children, Michelle (Eric) Prater of Leesburg, Lori (David) Johnson of Bloomingburg and Kenneth (Heather) Beatty, Jr. of Washington Court House; two grandchildren, Steven (Hannah) Wisecup and Katelyn Johnson; a great granddaughter, Raven; a brother, Carl Dean Cottrell of Greenfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation took place.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the New Martinsburg Christian Fellowship with Pastor Randy Beatty, minister at the church, officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Greenfield Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
