David L. Smith, 64 years, of Hillsboro passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2018 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
He was born in Mason, West Virginia on June 29, 1953 the son of David & Clara (Prickens) Smith. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one son Joey Smith.
Besides his father David is survived by his wife, Patricia (Groves) Smith, who he married on December 15, 1978; son, David L. Smith Jr. of Hillsboro; daughter, Clara (Adam) Young of Hillsboro, Paula Smith of Hillsboro; brothers, Samuel Smith of Ashley, OH and Paul Smith; sister, Mary Ann Mckenzie; ten grandchildren, Candace Freeman, Hailey Young, Michelle Smith, Dakota Smith, Joey Smith, Jr., Aiden Young, Austin Smith, Dylan Young, Destiny Smith, and Serenity Smith.
In accordance to his wishes David is to be cremated and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is responsible for the arrangements.
