Oscar "Fuzz" McKinney

Oscar “Fuzz” McKinney, 60, of Washington Court House, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 28, 2017 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. 

 He was born on December 29, 1956 in Washington C.H. to Oscar and Mildred (McNeal) McKinney.  He was the manager of Highlawn Cemetery until 8 weeks ago. 

 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy “Hippie” McKinney and sisters, Joyce Pierce and Shirley Bethel. 

 Fuzz is survived by his wife, whom he married November 27, 1976, Valerie (Cotner) McKinney; sons, Curt (Alli) McKinney, Caleb (Erica) McKinney, Dakota “Cody” McKinney; daughter, April Krape; grandson, Logan Krape; granddaughter, Mikhaylee Ragland and by special grandchild due in July 2018.  Oscar is also survived by his siblings, Lisa Ellerbee, Robin (Ron Forsha) McKinney, Vickie (Dan) Sheets, Sharon (Garry) Watson, Ricky McKinney and several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services will be held Friday January 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Crossroads Church with Pastor John Pfeifer officiating.  Burial will follow in Highlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. 

 Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Fayette County 222 N. Oakland Ave. WCH, OH 43160. 

The family wishes to thank Hospice and especially Amber, Julie and Erica who made this journey much easier.
