Lila Lee Rodgers, 87, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Sunday, December 31, 2017, at 8:38 p.m. at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus where she had been a patient the past week.
Lila was born October 9, 1930, in Perry County, Ohio to Raymond and Ruth Betts Latta. She was a graduate of Corning High School and moved to Washington Court House in 1959 from Reynoldsburg.
She was a retired Calmar employee.
Lila was a member of the First Presbyterian Church;
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Rodgers on March 22, 1978; a grandson, Thomas E. (Tommy) Rodgers on February 23, 2004; by a brother, Donald Latta and a sister, Thelma Aldstadt.
Lila is survived by three sons, William L. Rodgers and Thomas E. Rodgers, both of Washington Court House and Daniel M. Rodgers of Blacklick, Ohio; a granddaughter, Stephanie Poland and her husband, Jordan, of Reynoldsburg; two great grandchildren, Jameson and Ava Poland; a sister-in-law, Dee Latta of Tipp City and a brother-in-law, Everett Aldstadt of Englewood, OH and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Gray Marshall, pastor at the church, officiating. A graveside service will be held in the Dew Cemetery at Corning in Perry County at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House from 5-8 p.m. on Friday.
