Sue Ellen Young

SUE ELLEN YOUNG, age 68, of Washington CH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 5:27 p.m. at her home.

She was born on July 4, 1949 in Pickaway County to Leroy Elwood and Belva Christine Merritt Herron. She was a 1968 graduate of Teays Valley High School in Ashville. Sue had worked as a secretary for many years at DuPont in Circleville and Calmar; she was also the volunteer leader of MADD CAT. She was an active member at the Heritage Memorial Church and served as the Sunday School secretary for several years. She enjoyed making her famous banana split cake, advocating for MADD, watching basketball, and being with her family and granddaughter.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tanya Stage, mother and father-in-law, Earsel and Irene Young, and her best friend, Joy Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Young, whom she married on December 11, 1982; her children, Marci (Greg) Yourchuck, and Bryan (Lauren) Young; granddaughter, Elaine Kelly Young; brother, Steve (Pam) Herron; brother-in-law, Rodney (Debbie) Young; nieces, Lynsey Young, Crista (Michael) Tidwell, and Jessica (Jonathan) Gordan, and nephew, Steven (Lisa) Herron. Also surviving are several great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heritage Memorial Church with Pastor Bruce Morrison officiating with burial to follow at the Highlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Friday afternoon from 2-7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
