George Melvin Sampson, 83 of Logan, OH passed away Thursday, December 14th at Hickory Creek Nursing in Plains, OH.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Binegar) Sampson, whom he married January 3, 1981; one daughter, Debra Thompson of Logan; six sons, Steven (Nancy) Sampson of Union Furnace, Brian (Jessica) Sampson of Rushville, Mark Sampson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Charlie (Crystal) Fizer of Logan, Richard Fizer of Ft. Myers, FL, Jeff (Kandy) Fizer of Logan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Merle (Mary) Sampson of Swanton, Albert (Cathy) Sampson of Columbus; four sisters, Jean Young, Thelma Houser, Tilley Washburn of St. Mary's, Shirley (Clay) Davis of Lima; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 19 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Mark Click and Rev. Roger Newkirk officiating. Burial will follow in the Cochran Cemetery near New Martinsburg with military rites to be provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, with Veteran's Appreciation service at 1:00 p.m.
