DELBERT GRAYSON WEST, age 80, of Washington CH, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home.
He was born on May 8, 1937 in Fayette County to Leroy and Bessie Walls West. He retired from Armco after thirty-three years of service. Delbert was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Allison Malarky, one brother, three sisters, and his mother-in-law, Florence Parmenter.
Survivors include his wife, Kitty Melvin West, whom he married on June 7, 1958; his children, Laura (Randy) Aills, Mary Jo (Keith) Malarky, and Dee Ann (Scott Boyer) West; grandchildren, Cassie (Chris) Wells, Brooke (Jacob) Fox, Kristen Malarky, Taylor (Austin Braden) Dugan, and Kelsey (Adam Phillips) Dugan; and great-granddaughters, Aiyana Braden and Sloane Fox. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
In keeping with Mr. West’s wishes, cremation will be observed. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
