Charles "Charlie" Sexton

Charles "Charlie" Sexton, 78, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Thursday,December 14, 2017, at 4:57 p.m. at Fayette County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient one day.

            Charlie was born April 29, 1939, in Leesburg, Ohio to Marion Gerald and Mary Isabelle Barger Sexton.  He was a 1957 graduate of Fairfield High School in Leesburg.

            He was an agent for the CSX Railroad for 41 years before his retirement in 2001. 

            Charlie was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and was a member of Post #568 of the American Legion in Leesburg.

            He is survived by his wife, the former Patty Ann Wise whom he married November 20, 1963; special friends, Robin Dennis and her husband, Mark, of Frankfort and Karen Cassidy and her husband, David, of Washington C.H.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Colleen Sexton and Richard and Melody Sexton, all of Columbus and two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Loren and Barbara Wise of Jamestown and Charlie and Mary Wise of Hillsboro.

            The funeral will be Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. John Pfeiffer, pastor at the Gathering Place Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg.

            Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
